MY JOURNEY STARTED 20 YEARS AGO

I started doing performance makeup nearly 20 years ago back in high school. I was so fascinated by how makeup could transform a performer and not just their look, but their confidence, stage presence, and self-expression.

OVER THE YEARS, I REFINED MY SKILLS

I started blending my passion for artistry with my medical background. as a Doctor of Pharmacy. I knew I could offer something unique in the makeup industry with my certifications, skill, expertise, and knowledge. But then I saw something troubling…

MINORITY GROUPS WEREN’T BEING REPRESENTED

I noticed a lack of true inclusivity. There were too many stories of clients feeling misrepresented, excluded, or misunderstood. From dark skin individuals looking gray or ashy in their photos, to having to bring their own makeup. Pronouns and identities not being respected. The typical Euro standards of contouring ethnic features. Disabled individuals not even being thought of and being treated as too needy. Skin conditions being treated as an afterthought. Not to mention no individual makeup looks, just the constant typical ‘White Bridal makeup look.’ The stories went on and on.

AND THAT IS WHEN JESSA JAGUAR WAS BORN

I was ready to change the narrative and build a space where everyone, no matter their gender, skin tone, or background, feels seen, celebrated, and empowered. Because I believe everyone deserves to celebrate their existence. You ARE the standard and I am here to help you express that through quality and crafted makeup artistry.
